How it works

  1. Enter the original ticket price.
  2. Add the discount percentage, plus an optional second code that applies after it.
  3. Optionally add tax or VAT to see what you actually pay at the register.

Frequently asked questions

Does 20% off plus an extra 10% equal 30% off?

No — the second code is applied to the already-reduced price, so 20% plus 10% comes to 28%. The result shows this combined rate as the effective discount.

Is tax calculated on the original or the discounted price?

On the discounted price. A discount reduces the taxable amount in essentially every sales-tax and VAT regime, and the tax is charged once — never on the part you saved.

Why is the amount saved shown without tax?

The saving is the difference between the original and discounted merchandise price. Sales tax on an item you no longer buy is not a saving — it is just tax you do not pay.

Examples

A 249.00 jacket at 30% off with an extra 10% member code
249.00 → 174.30 → 156.87. That is 92.13 saved — an effective 37% off, not 40%.
An 89.90 item at 15% off with 21% VAT
Discounted price 76.42, VAT 16.05, final price 92.47 — you pay 92.47, not 89.90.
